Is the World Coming to an End?!?

Yes, it must be...I don't know...hopefully, the world will continue to spin. However, it is official. Wezul has switched us to satellite.
  • It is slightly cheaper than cable...cheaper is better in my world.
  • The most important reason for the switch...we get more HD channels.
Why is this shocking? For as long as I have known him, he has always complained about cable and our lovely company. However, he despised satellite even more.

It didn't help a year or so ago we went to a friends house, and it was lightly raining, and they kept losing the signal during an all important football game. (I'm sure it was important to someone...it wasn't State or any other ACC team...so I didn't care who was playing.)

Little did our satellite technician realize, he was entering the Wezul Zone and he'd have a 250+ lb. hip attachment. Everywhere this guy went, Wezul was right behind him. At least he did help the nice gentleman.Which if you saw the kind of night Wezul endured last night, you'd be amazed he was able to be the satellite tech assistant. Let's just say...wedding...open bar...free food...and a trip to another restaurant at 11:30pm to continue the party with another couple we knew at the wedding. Can you say hangover, and yet Wezul was still able to operate a drill and terminate the cable as seen above.

And it goes on.......

Happy 60th Birthday Daddy!
It getting harder to stay awake!!!!!!

Now imagine what you have just seen on a 16x20 poster...taped to the door of your office with these pictures arranged on it on your birthday...at the fire department you volunteer at...and to have your nameplate covered with post-its with "Asst. Chief SleepALot" written on it...then you realize...your daughter and son-in-law drove down to tape it up...without letting on they were in town...so you wouldn't think anything is happening.

Now...at this same fire department...imagine sirens going off...firefighters coming in...and they know about it before you...

Love ya mean it!

Happy 60th Birthday, Daddy M!!

It's a hard life.

Especially when you have taught your children the best time to kick someone is when they are already down. :) I am not a nerd for nothing...I learn well. Aren't you proud Daddy?!?

You probably can tell that this is a picture from Dad's 60th birthday dinner on Sunday.

As you can see, 60 is taking it's toll on Daddy. It doesn't help that we are helping him down the hill. Isn't that what children and family are for - to give you that extra push when you are stuck trying to cling on to the last of your youth. There were some sweet moments to his birthday dinner. We cooked him a nice meal. I attempted to make him a birthday cake and decorated it. A card and gift card was bought. Wezul and I even took the time to sort through our 10,000+ songs on iTunes to make him a soundtrack to celebrate this major milestone in his life. Here is the list of songs we thought best expressed the sentiment of the occasion:

1) Funeral March Sonata No. 2 in B Flat Minor, Op. 35 - Abbey Simon
2) Knockin' on Heaven's Door - Guns N' Roses
3) Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
4) It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday - Boyz II Men
5) Dead Puppies - Ogden Edsl
6) The Show Must Go On - Queen
7) Back Porch - The Presidents of the United States of America
8) If Tomorrow Never Comes - Garth Brooks
9) Who Wants to Live Forever - Queen
10) Go Rest High on That Mountain - Vince Gill
11) Misery - Soul Asylum
12) Taps - US Air Force Tactical Air Command Band

Amazingly, enough this was just the right amount of music to get us through dinner.

What more can we possibly do to this man...as his birthday is...July 15th....

Getting Ready

Mom and Dad were on patrol. Unfortunately, this means that getting good pictures from outside the house is a difficult chore. The babies are growing fast. In fact, they have been practicing flapping their wings. It will be any day now, and I am assuming they will be gone within the next week or so.

Of course, Wezul can't wait. He has signed up for Poop Patrol once they fly off and he can't wait.

:)

Things have been a little busy since Wez's daughter has been here. After the 4th of July celebration, we went to see Hancock on Saturday. Wez and K had a father/daughter date on Sunday. I sent them to see the Mudcats play, lose, and for them to get a little wet from an after game storm.

Yesterday, I got to see Momma and Daddy bird feed little baby birds. I was lucky enough to capture a small part of it on the camera.
