Brats and Goals...life is grand...

You may have to ask yourself what in the world does brats and goals have to do with a grand life...Germany or better yet...food and football (soccer), of course.  DUH!

For Wezul, it is the Bavarian Brathaus in Cary.  This little establishment has been around for awhile, but we have never been there before until now.  This is just a small Das Boot sampler of German beers Wezul had pre-dinner.
Wezul had a hard time deciding what he wanted to eat.  However, he did make his decision...FINALLY...and he was thoroughly impressed...to paraphrase him "these were the best homemade brats he has eaten."  As you may suspect, between the pork and cabbage, my choices were severely limited.  However, they do have enough food available for allergy girl to make a nice fulfilling meal.  The biggest downside of the trip, it cost a pretty penny to eat there.  Especially for me...outside of the sides...the main entree I can order is almost $30...needless to say, I stuck to ordering sides for my meal.  Hopefully, Wezul enjoyed his special dinner trip.....

The past few weeks have been GRRRRRRRREAT for moi!  For the first time in 10 years, Wezul has been in the mood to watch the World Cup games.  Maybe he realizes that watching the games involves some major partying.  We took our first match in at the Crabtree Tavern with a good buddy, without reservations, and being crammed into the restaurant.  Fast forward to yesterday, we were back at Crabtree with the same buddy and a reserved table and more people to watch with, and we will be back there July 11th (regardless of who is in the finals) for the final match.  I'm in heaven...this is the same girl who in 1994 ate spaghetti for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while she watched every single game she could watch of World Cup '94.  Can you say Roberto Baggio?!?  Now that the US is out, I am pulling for Spain; however, if they don't advance, I guess I will pull for Germany.

Just another Friday...

I spotted a new neighbor in our neighborhood on my way to work.  ;)

Hopefully, the new neighbor will not be a stranger and come visit us at our next cookout...hmmm...maybe that isn't the best idea if Wezul is around.  I need to rethink that one.

On the other hand, I found the edge of the world on Friday while working...well...maybe not the edge of the world; however, I did find the edge of the lake.  Trust me when I say...the drop on the other side is killer though you can't see it.

BTW...I wasn't driving!

Our Little Tasty Friends

As most of you know, I have been a mini traveling machine these past couple of months.  All three of my trips, I have flown via Air Tran at some point on all three of my trips.  These are the tasty little treats they served us.  Our last trip to Iowa was no exception.  However, my obsession, has became Wezul's obsession too...the Biscoff cookie.

Needless to say, the past two trips to the grocery store has landed these little guys in our carts as well as our tummies.

Not to be out done, our buddy Famous Dave's has FINALLY made the move down south!  This means we can get our favorites BBQ sauces whenever we want, and no more hoarding!!!!
