Run - Head for the Hills - It's a massive snowstorm!

For a solid week, the meteorologists in the area were predicting a massive winter snowstorm.  Freezing rain, ice, sleet and snow.  It would start Friday evening and last until midnight around Saturday.

The grocery stores were over ran, the bread and milk were scooped up as if tomorrow would never come...I imagined waking up and looking out and not being able to see anything...hmmmm...I am glad we went to Dunkin Donuts Friday afternoon...how would we have survived this massive storm?!?

As a meteorologist (yes, I actually have a college degree in meteorology), its about 4:30 pm, the precipitation has stopped, this is all we got...I think we will make it...but it will be close.

Busy Busy Busy

Whew!  I thought things were supposed to slow down after the new year?!?  Well, they haven't.

Some of the insanity is of my own doing.  Chica Rica and I thought it would be a good idea to take Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University course for 1 day a week for 13 weeks.  Short version...Ramsey believes in living debt free, paying cash for everything, spend less than you make, etc.  All very good mottos to live by.  When it comes to money he is a man after my own heart.  For all those countless jokes that Chica and Wezul made at my expense over my "spreadsheet" - look who's laughing now that they are both falling into the Ramsey way...Hahaha!!!

We are both working right now...which is always a bonus!  We are trying to get our house (literally and figuratively) in order!  Hopefully I can complete my Statistics homework on time for January, though, my TA is making it hard because she is always telling me how far behind she is on grading our homework...haha!  I guess with that "typed", I better get back to the grind...and do some housework...I mean homework.

2010! Another year - more craziness

New year...old blog...older husband.  Ha!

Things have not slowed down one bit for us.  January 9th was our last Christmas get together with family friends.  Work is gearing up, and I found out my abstract was accepted for presentation at a national conference.  Down side, they want a poster presentation instead of an oral presentation.  Of course, that is a major upside for me because I will not have to speak in front of people, but the abstract my project chief had me draft is not very versatile, and we have to try and figure out if we can even present it as a poster.

Wezul and his crew is preparing to move to their "new" facilities.  I will lose my commuter buddy about the same time he will turn 40!  The BIG 4-0!  Woo woo!!  Not much going on...hoping to find time soon to finish Chuckie...spend a full weekend at home with nowhere to be...hmmmm...2011...maybe?
